Every season, thousands of non-skiers, families with toddlers, couples, and groups of friends visit Pradollano simply to experience crisp mountain air, panoramic views across snow-covered 3,000-meter peaks, and thrilling snow activities.
In this 2026 non-skier guide, we showcase the best activities to do in the snow without skiing: from the Mirlo Blanco activity park to scenic cable car rides, snowshoeing, and sun-soaked mountain terrace dining.
1. Mirlo Blanco Activity Park (Pradollano)
Located at the end of the Rio slope in Pradollano (at 2,100 meters), Mirlo Blanco is the premier winter amusement park in southern Spain designed especially for families and non-skiers:
- The Russian Sled (Trineo Ruso): A mountain coaster on rails where you control your own sled down 550 meters of twists, loops, and dips at speeds up to 40 km/h with panoramic mountain views.
- Tubing & Giant Donuts: Glide down banked snow chutes on giant inflatable rubber rings.
- Ice Skating Rink: An open-air ecological ice rink surrounded by alpine chalets.
- Sledging Runs: Dedicated safe slopes equipped with magic carpet conveyors so kids don’t have to walk back uphill.
- Pricing: Combined activity wristbands range from 18 € to 25 € per person. Individual Trineo Ruso rides cost approx. 7.50 €.
2. Ride the Panoramic Gondola as a Pedestrian
Non-skiers can purchase a Pedestrian Lift Ticket (Ticket de Peatón) to board the high-speed Al-Ándalus or Borreguiles cable cars up to the high-altitude plateau of Borreguiles at 2,700 meters altitude (approx. 22 € round-trip):
- Experience the dizzying 15-minute ascent floating over skiers, pines, and deep canyons.
- Step out into the beating heart of the resort surrounded by peaks like the Veleta (3,398 m).

3. Free Sledging Zones (Hoya de la Mora)
If you prefer a casual, free day of sledging with your own plastic sledge, drive up past Pradollano to Hoya de la Mora (2,500 meters):
- Large natural snowfields open to the public for free tobogganing and snowman building.
- Traditional alpine kiosks selling hot chocolate, churros, sandwiches, and renting plastic sledges (approx. 10 € per day).
- Tip: On sunny weekends, parking at Hoya de la Mora fills up by 09:30 h; arrive early or take the local shuttle bus.
4. Mountain Terraces and Après-Ski in Pradollano
The après-ski scene in Pradollano is famous throughout Spain for its vibrant, sun-drenched atmosphere. Relax at outdoor lounge terraces in Plaza de Andalucía listening to live DJ sets, sipping a warm spiced mulled wine or a cold Alhambra Reserva 1925, and soaking in the alpine sunsets.
